Planning & Development
The Planning & Development Department plans and facilitates the redevelopment & economic growth of Downtown Memphis. This department conducts neighborhood revitalization planning and administers financial incentives to improve our built environment, actively recruits new businesses, facilitates development, provides design review, and supports development projects though site identification and land acquisition.

Marketing
The Marketing Department is responsible for promoting Center City Commission services, as well as the benefits of living, working, and playing in Downtown Memphis. Functions include market research, advertising, public relations, special events, and production of internal and external communication materials. The department also includes the information services division, including networking and Internet services and in-house software applications.

Operations
The Operations Department is responsible for making Downtown Memphis a more pleasant place to live, work, and visit by enhancing the cleanliness, attractiveness, friendliness, and sense of security. It includes the Blue Suede Brigade (our on-the-street ambassadors of good will), administers the Clean and Safe Program, manages the Main Street Mall (include vendor permits) and CCC/CCDC-owned property, coordinates certain Downtown public improvements, and maintains operation of the Downtown Parking Authority (DPA), among other things. The department also handles administration of the CCC offices and personnel management.

Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for general administration of financial policies and budgets. It works in conjunction with the City of Memphis and the Shelby County Assessor to administer the CBID assessment.
