Beale Street Musical Fest Announces 2017 Lineup

Memphis in May continues to bring in big names as the Beale Street Music Festival announced the 2017 lineup today!

You'll recognize some of the headliners this year. Snoop Dogg, Kings of Leon, Soundgarden, Sturgill Simpson, Death Cab for Cutire, Wiz Kalifa, MGMT and Ludacris to name a few.

2017 Memphis In May Trolley Bus Schedule

Main Street Trolley

Trolley buses will operate approximately every 15 minutes.

Service hours will be extended during the Beale Street Music Festival as follows:

On Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6, the last trolley bus will depart northbound from Main & Beale at 12:30 a.m.

On Sunday, May 7, the last trolley bus will depart northbound from Main & Beale at 10:30 p.m.

Please note that service hours will remain the same during all other Memphis In May events: Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m.-10:40 p.m.; Friday from 7 a.m.-11:40 p.m.; Saturday from 8:20 a.m.-11:40 p.m.; and on Sunday from 10 a.m.-6:15 p.m.

Riverfront Trolley

Trolley buses will operate approximately every 15 minutes.

Beginning April 23, 2017 until further notice, the Riverfront trolley buses will operate on Front Street due to the closure of Riverside Drive. Trolley buses will travel from the Hudson Transit Center and go south on Front Street, left on Peabody Place, right on Main, left on G.E. Patterson, right on second, right on Webster, and right on Main to the regular route.

If traffic conditions warrant or if instructed by the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the Riverfront trolley buses may be detoured southbound from Front Street to Main Street on May 5, 6 and 7 during the Beale Street Music Festival. 

Madison Trolley: No change in schedule. Trolley buses will operate as usual approximately every 15 minutes.

MATA Fixed Route Bus Service

MATA fixed route buses will be on detour during Memphis in May events as directed by MPD. After MPD closes downtown streets, northbound buses will use Dr. M.L. King, Jr. Avenue (MLK) to Danny Thomas to Poplar to Third to the Hudson Transit Center.

Southbound buses from the Hudson Transit Center will use Second to Poplar to Danny Thomas to MLK to regular route.

Transferring downtown passengers are urged to use the Hudson Transit Center during Memphis in May events – after 5 p.m. Fridays, all day Saturdays, and as necessary on Sundays.

Purchasing Trolley Bus Tickets and Learning Route Information During Memphis In May: 

To purchase trolley bus tickets and learn route information, MATA will host two booths located near the Sheraton Hotel (on the Convention Center side) from 1-9 p.m. on May 5, 6, 18 and 19; and on Beale Street from 3-9 p.m. on May 5, 6, 18 and 19.
