This riverfont park is tucked away off I-55 on Channel 3 Drive. With some of the best views of the River, this park is worth finding! The Riverwalk Pedestrian Path connects to this park to Tom Lee Park. A great place to picnic, throw a frisbee and watch the barges roll by.
The park is named after those who did not flee from Memphis' yellow fever epidemic in 1878 to help those infected. The Memphis population decreased with deaths and a mass exodus of citizens. Almost 80 percent of 19,000 who remained caught the fever, and one-quarter perished.
Managed by the Riverfront Development Corporation.
