Things to know this Weekend in Downtown Memphis: Dec. 1-3, 2017
St. Jude Marathon Weekend
Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 starting at 7 am at AutoZone Park
This Saturday, runners get their chance to run through the home of the blues and American roots music of every stripe in the St. Jude Memphis Marathon & Half Marathon, which tests the hardiness and dedication of more than 2,000 full marathoners and 5,000 half marathoners.
Downtown will be packed, so here's a few things to remember:
- Several roads will be blocked for long stretches Saturday morning. Check out the race course map so you can be sure to plan your way in and out of Downtown accordingly.
- Trolleys will not be operating during the Marathon according to MATA. Click here to view details on Trolley and bus routes during the marathon.

Memphis Holiday Parade
Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 2 pm on Beale Street
Be a part of the grandest holiday parade in the region! Join in the fun on America's most iconic street as we ring in the holiday season with marching bands, steppers, twirlers, floats, and all sort of sights!

South Main Market Grand Opening Day
Saturday from 8 AM - 11 PM at 409 S. Main
The South Main Market, Memphis' first food hall, hosts its official grand opening and will feature its first seven vendors - including Civil Pour, City East Bagel & Grille, COCO, Java Cabana, Kinfolk, Magnolia and Wallflower Memphis - offering a wide range of small plates, drinks, coffees and baked goods, plus fresh floral. Live music will include Bill Thurman from 12-2pm and Outcry from 4-6pm.
